On the 8th of February in town Goluboe (20 km from Moscow) housed by Hospital and clinics of remedial treatment Federal Medical and Biological Agency Russia under the guidance of director of scientific-methods centre of remedial treatment and rehabilitation FMBA Russia, MD, professor Kochetkov Andrey Vasiljevicha was presented robotic rehabilitation equipment ReoGo for motor function recovery of upper-extremities of neurological patients.
The specialists from Hospital and clinics of remedial treatment gave the benefit of experience in the usage of robot mechanotherapy and therapeutic exercise in neurorehabilitation of patients with hemiparesis and hemiplegia. Chief of kinesitherapy department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associated professor Kochuneva Olga Jakovlevna and Chief of 4 neurology department Kunaeva Olga Vasiljevna took part in the discussion.
Robotic rehabilitation equipment ReoAmbulator for motor function recovery of lower-extremities of neurological patients attracted a great interest. Reo Ambulator is an innovative robotic gait training device that integrates body weight support treadmill training (BWSTT) with advanced robotics to help rehabilitate patients who experience neuromuscular dysfunction to address problems with ambulation, balance, coordination, posture and stamina.
Apart from that the specialists from JSC “Medicine and New Technologies” demonstrated to the therapists the possibilities of physiotherapeutic unites from HiTop 191 which are successfully used for the treatment of diabetic polyneuropathy and the device VACUMED Lower Body Negative Pressure Therapy with magnetic field and oxygen therapy as integrated options (Weyergans, Germany) for the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus and vascular diseases caused by venous and arterial insufficiency in the lower extremities.
The device ReoGo was given for an approbation to Hospital and clinics of remedial treatment and now treatment on this device is available to the patients of Hospital and clinics of remedial treatment and now treatment.
